Voodookazoo to Create Original Score for the Game jam Winning Game
Voodookazoo, world renowned musicians are supporting the T2G Game Jam by offering to create an original in game music score for the winning game!
Formed in 2004 by top freelance musicians Arnie Somogyi and Rob Townsend, Voodookazoo make music for a wide scope of commercial applications and a variety of media.
Voodookazoo are experienced musicians and composers with extensive knowledge of live and recorded music. They have scored many computer games for amongst other: Sony Computer Entertainment, Codemasters, Supermassive Games, Blitz Games, Activision and DR studios. They write music for film and TV - clients include:BBC, ITV, Channel 4, five, Talkback Thames and animation studio Triffic Films.
Arnie Somogyi
Arnie Somogyi is one of the UK's busiest bassists and has played on over 30 albums. He has worked with a wide variety of musicians from Amy Winehouse and Jamie Callum to Charlie Watts, John Martyn, Tom Jones and jazz legends Stan Tracey and Annie Ross. He has played on film soundtracks and his music has featured on radio and tv in the UK and abroad. Arnie has recorded two albums: Cherry Soup was BBC Music Magazine's Jazz Pick of the Month and Star Mountain Sessions was Pick of the Week in The Observer. He has also made and presented two BBC Radio 4 documentaries: Cool Roots and Package Peculiar.
Rob Townsend
Saxophonist /woodwind maestro Rob's versatility as a performer has led to him performing with a wide range of notable artists including rock musicians Steve Hackett and Rick Wakeman and jazz musicians Sam Rivers, Django Bates, James Taylor Quartet and ex-King Crimson drummer Bill Bruford. He also works as a session musician for film and TV.
